Partnership Spotlight on Fletcher Allen Health Care

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:58 pm by Lund

During Lund Family Center’s 120 years of serving Vermont’s children and families, we have enjoyed a strong partnership with Fletcher Allen Health Care and its predecessors Mary Fletcher Hospital and Medical Center Hospital of Vermont.  Over the years, the medical needs of the children and families we serve have expanded and changed to include substance abuse and mental health issues and other complex medical needs.  As the needs have grown, so has the partnership between Lund and FAHC.  It is impossible to elaborate on all of the collaborative aspects of our relationship with FAHC, but these examples provide an overview of our partnership:

  • Lund teams with the staff in Fletcher Allen’s Maternity and Birthing services and Neonatal Intensive Care Units to coordinate services and care that respond to the specific needs of our clients.
  • Dr. Molly Rideout leads an on-site pediatric clinic at Lund twice a month.
  • Dawn LeBaron, Vice President of Hospital Services offers incredible leadership and insight as a Lund Family Center Board Trustee.  She was instrumental in preparing Lund’s new residential facility for move-in and orchestrated every aspect of moving staff and residents back into the new building.  FAHC staff Jack Conry also played a leadership role in the project, and is a key volunteer who volunteers at nearly every Lund fundraising event.
  • Lund Family Center coordinates with the UHC Methadone Clinic to serve residents who are receiving opiate replacement therapy.
  • As an organization, Fletcher Allen committed support as an underwriting sponsor of Lund’s 120th Anniversary year.  Lund’s 120th Anniversary celebrations included the Mother’s Day Bike Ride which was generously supported by FAHC’s Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Department.

Lund is proud and grateful for our community partnerships like the one we have with FAHC.  These partnerships throughout Vermont are an irreplaceable part of Lund’s ability to fulfill our mission.
